The extension reads the title currently on screen in YouTube or Netflix and returns the same verdict you get here — no typing, no leaving the page.
On your phone (easiest — no install file)
Phone browsers don't support extensions at all, so on mobile you use Popcorn as an app you add to your home screen. Takes about 10 seconds.
- 1Open popcornpal in your phone's browser (Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android).
- 2iPhone: tap Share → Add to Home Screen. Android: tap ⋮ → Install app / Add to Home screen.
- 3Open Popcorn from the new icon — it runs full-screen like a normal app.
- 4Paste a YouTube link or type a title and Leo screens it the same way.
Why the one-click store install isn't live yet
A normal “Add to Chrome” button only works for extensions hosted on the Chrome Web Store, and Google only lets the owner publish it: a one-time $5 developer account, an upload of this exact zip, and a few days of review. The extension is already packaged and store-ready — once you create that account and upload it, this page becomes a single Add to Chrome button and Developer mode disappears. Until then, the steps below are the only way Chrome permits, and they're safe: it's your own file, running locally.
Desktop Chrome, today (Developer mode)
- 1Download and unzip the file below.
- 2Open chrome://extensions in Chrome, Edge, Brave or Arc.
- 3Turn on Developer mode (top-right toggle).
- 4Click Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder.
- 5Open a YouTube video or Netflix title, click the Popcorn icon, hit Screen this.
Honest note: Netflix does not publish transcripts, so Netflix verdicts are based on the title, its on-page synopsis, ratings and published parent reviews. YouTube verdicts can also use the video's own description and channel context, so they tend to be sharper.
